@kopper@not-brain.d.on-t.work@nelson every mastodon compatible one, yes. you could in theory make an activitypub impl that doesn't care about mastodon compatibility (and there are a handful of things you could do to make interop unusable), but you are right in that you don't really have a reason to use activitypub if you don't intend to connect to the existing network
